• Total of 24 points available for tournament

• 6 Best Ball matches

• 6 Alternate Shot matches

• 12 Singles matches

• Each match is worth one point

• Halved match is worth 1/2 point

• Team needs 12.5 points to win cup

 

FOURBALL (best ball) 

   

• 18 holes (if necessary)

• 2 golfers per team

• 4 balls in play per hole

• Golfers play their own ball

• Team whose golfer posts best score wins hole

• If golfers tie for best score…hole is “halved”

• One point available per match 

• If teams are tied after hole 18...match is "halved"

 

FOURSOMES (alternate shot)

 

• 18 holes (if necessary)

• 2 golfers per team

• 2 balls in play per hole

• Team members alternate tee shots (odds & evens)

• Team members alternate every other shot

• Team with best score wins the hole

• If tie for best score…hole is “halved”

• Players play head to head
